District Education Officer's Office Field-level organization of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education. The Chittagong District Education Officer's office is located on 2nd floor in Education Complex of Agrabad, CDA- (adjacent to the Khari School and College adjacent). In the five-storey building, the regional director and sub-director's office are located on the 4th and 3rd floors respectively. There are 1110 educational institutions in the district of Chittagong. Among them, 31 are junior secondary schools (non-government-31), 630 secondary schools (government-15, private-615), 47 schools and cogels (private -47) and 308 madrasa (Dakhil-179, Alim-44, Fazil-65, Kamil -20). The district education office supervises the activities of these educational institutions with the help of 15 upazila secondary office and 5 thana secondary Office. After the formation of the post of District Education Officer, District Education Office has been playing an important role in improving the quality of secondary education.
